Orbital Marketing Services Group Ltd


Orbital Marketing Services Group recently acquired the Readicut home crafts mail order business and brand. We quickly came to the conclusion that the existing logos were tired and in need of refreshing as part of an overall revitalisation of the Readicut business.

We briefed Oak Creative to develop a new company logo and replacement logos for the three activity based sub-brands, each of which has its own seasonal catalogue. The graphics needed to be a cohesive set (working in both colour and mono), reflecting the traditional craft personality of Readicut whilst bringing the look and feel up to date. Also to properly portray the activity of each product group to improve its relevance to and engagement with its specific audience – with the ability to add further product sets in the future ….. and by the way we needed the logos pronto as we had two new catalogues being compiled!

We were delighted with the options developed – particularly the evolution of the iconic ‘r’ shape which brings all the logos together as a group and allows for brand extensions. The graphics ultimately chosen for use within the ‘r’ for each of the product logos are individual, stylish – as Readicut should be – and representative of the respective craft, whilst clearly belonging to the ’new’ Readicut family. The use of a ‘William Morris’ style graphic in the overall company logo works on so many levels.

Thank you so much for all you have done for us, we are so pleased with how the invites and Order of service looked. Everyone commented and said they had never seen anything like it before. The response has been mega.

The Manor House loved the picture too, we had it mounted and framed and it was a big hit, they weren’t charging us for the use of their gardens, so it was a really personal thank you gift.

The vicar wants to use the church illustration and has kept an invite and order of service as he said its the best he’s seen.
